OUR FIRST WEDDING OF THE NEW YEAR

Saturday, January 2, 2010 – Tlaquepaque hosted its first wedding of the New Year. It was a bright and sunny afternoon while Natalie Yazdandoost and Simon Sanchez said their wedding vows on the Terrace at Patio del Norte in front of their friends and family members. Natalie walked down the aisle with her father Arthur and Grandfather Ray. Her dress was spectacular. Uncle Richard performed the ceremony while Lisa and Aubrey with It’s Your Party DJ played ceremonial music.

Everything was picture perfect. Following the ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed a special toast with much celebrations.

La Sala de los Milagros Ballroom looked stunning. Events by Showstoppers created a lovely venue with colored lights, beautiful flowers and outstanding centerpieces. The bride and groom had a fabulous sweetheart table just at the edge of the dance floor. It was very romantic.

Food was prepared by Main Street Catering which did an excellent job. The unique cake was created by Sedona Cake Couture and guests danced throughout the night to tunes played by Lisa and Aubrey Miller with It’s Your Party DJ. Photographs were captured by Katherine Marie Images.

It was a wonderful wedding and we are glad Natalie and Simon kicked off Tlaquepaque’s 2010 wedding season. Congratulations!

We are evaluating the current health situtation daily and value the safety of our guests, merchants, and community. DAY OF THE DEAD & MARIGOLD MURAL PROJECT

Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village has provided the perfect setting for south of the border fiestas, festivals, and cultural extravaganzas for the last four decades. Unfortunately, this year we are dealing with the unprecedented COVID pandemic and must pause our highly attended Day of the Dead celebration. There's good news though! Our annual Marigold Mural project is back this year with a NEW SAFE AND EXCITING FORMAT. Join us on Wednesday, November 4 through Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Calle Independencia. This project is unique to Tlaquepaque and an artful way to remember your loved ones. The artist Lovejoy will be in attendance again this year, handing out markers as she guides and answers questions regarding the mural and your contributions. Face masks and sanitizer will also be available for those who need them.
