TWO TLAQUEPAQUE WEDDINGS ON SATURDAY

On Saturday, September 19th, Tlaquepaque hosted two weddings in our village. It appears that the monsoon is still here as we received a late afternoon shower. The weather did not dampen the spirits of the bridal couples.

La Donna Warns and Anthony Gabrielson held their lovely wedding ceremony in the Tlaquepaque Chapel. La Donna looked amazing and was adorned by beautiful flowers provided by Events by Showstoppers. Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia of Sedona Bride captured the wedding photos. Their intimate wedding reception was held at Cucina Rustina.

On the Patio de las Campanas, Kristin Trhlin and Brandon Harris held their wedding ceremony at the foot of the bell tower. Rev. Kate Freeman, Dream Weddings of Sedona , performed the ceremony. Flowers were provided by Mountain High Flowers and photographs were taken by Roy Bracamonte.

On Saturday evening Los Abrigados Resort catered the dinner for Kristin and Brandon. They did a great job with the set up and service of the reception in our indoor ballroom, La Sala de los Milagros. Guests enjoyed the wedding and shared in the love and joy of Kristin and Brandon.

DJ Nathan, with Infinity Entertainment , played music throughout the evening. The amazing wedding cake was created by Donna Joy, Sedona Sweet Arts.

Although the pandemic continues, Tlaquepaque is moving forward with the planning for this year's Day of the Dead festivities. We are evaluating the current health situtation daily and value the safety of our guests, merchants, and community. DAY OF THE DEAD & MARIGOLD MURAL PROJECT

Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village has provided the perfect setting for south of the border fiestas, festivals, and cultural extravaganzas for the last four decades. Unfortunately, this year we are dealing with the unprecedented COVID pandemic and must pause our highly attended Day of the Dead celebration. There's good news though! Our annual Marigold Mural project is back this year with a NEW SAFE AND EXCITING FORMAT. Join us on Wednesday, November 4 through Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Calle Independencia. This project is unique to Tlaquepaque and an artful way to remember your loved ones. The artist Lovejoy will be in attendance again this year, handing out markers as she guides and answers questions regarding the mural and your contributions. Face masks and sanitizer will also be available for those who need them.
