ANOTHER BUSY WEDDING WEEKEND IN OCTOBER AT TLAQUEPAQUE

October is one of the most popular wedding months in Sedona and Tlaquepaque had three weddings during the last busy wedding weekend in October.

Ashleigh Diaz and Rob Anderson got married in the Tlaquepaque Chapel on Saturday, October 24. The wedding ceremony was performed by Joel Boyd with Affordable Sedona Weddings. Ashleigh and Rob confirmed a wedding package through Joel that included photography by Tom. Friends and family of Asheligh and Rob enjoyed a lovely evening at Tlaquepaque.

Molly Henderson and Zach Dietrich held their wedding ceremony on the Patio de las Campanas on the same evening. We were all happy that the weather was warmer even after sunset. It was a perfect night. Rev. Andrew Murphy with Heart of Sedona Weddings performed the intimate wedding ceremony that was part English and part Spanish. The ceremony was very traditional with Latin flavors.

The flower girls were cute and adorable. Mel Russell with Captured Smiles took the professional photographs for the wedding. Flowers were provided by Mountain High Flowers in Sedona. The reception was held at Cucina Rustica Italina Restaurant.

Sunday, October 25 Laura White and Greg Okonowski got married in the Tlaquepaque Chapel. It was a lovely nighttime ceremony adorned with tons of rose petals. The Tlaquepaque Chapel was brilliant as the lovely bride entered the chapel. Professional photographs were taken by Nolan Nissle Photograhy. Laura and Greg held their reception at Joey Bistro at Los Abrigados Resort.

DAY OF THE DEAD & MARIGOLD MURAL PROJECT

Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village has provided the perfect setting for south of the border fiestas, festivals, and cultural extravaganzas for the last four decades. Unfortunately, this year we are dealing with the unprecedented COVID pandemic and must pause our highly attended Day of the Dead celebration. There's good news though! Our annual Marigold Mural project is back this year with a NEW SAFE AND EXCITING FORMAT. Join us on Wednesday, November 4 through Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Calle Independencia. This project is unique to Tlaquepaque and an artful way to remember your loved ones. The artist Lovejoy will be in attendance again this year, handing out markers as she guides and answers questions regarding the mural and your contributions. Face masks and sanitizer will also be available for those who need them.
