09-09-09 WEDDING AT TLAQUEPAQUE

The popular wedding date of 09-09-09 hosted a large number of weddings in Sedona. Many people thought this was a lucky number and the perfect day to tie the knot. We received some afternoon rain but the skies cleared for a lovely Sedona evening.

Christa Wahl and Jim Frassetto got married in the Tlaquepaque Chapel on this lucky day. The wedding was organized by Laura Marolakos with Heart of Sedona Weddings. Rev. Andrew Murphy performed the intimate wedding ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Christa and Jim were accompanied by their family and friends to the Patio de las Campanas for the lovely wedding reception. Bonnie Grant and the Rosalie’s of Sedona crew did a wonderful job with the set up and decoration of the wedding reception.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Rosalie’s of Sedona while music was played by Bobby Russell, Sedona Sounds. Dustin from Arizona Bartenders made sure everyone had their drink of choice and Jon and Ashley Bugg were the professional photographers of the wedding.

It was such a perfect wedding for this lucky day of 09-09-09.

We are evaluating the current health situtation daily and value the safety of our guests, merchants, and community. DAY OF THE DEAD & MARIGOLD MURAL PROJECT

Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village has provided the perfect setting for south of the border fiestas, festivals, and cultural extravaganzas for the last four decades. Unfortunately, this year we are dealing with the unprecedented COVID pandemic and must pause our highly attended Day of the Dead celebration. There's good news though! Our annual Marigold Mural project is back this year with a NEW SAFE AND EXCITING FORMAT. Join us on Wednesday, November 4 through Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Calle Independencia. This project is unique to Tlaquepaque and an artful way to remember your loved ones. The artist Lovejoy will be in attendance again this year, handing out markers as she guides and answers questions regarding the mural and your contributions. Face masks and sanitizer will also be available for those who need them.
