Exclusive Art Jewelry by Jennifer Defoe

Each piece is unique and one-of-a-kind. "The variance of nature is what attracts me to these stones. They have unique forms and exquisite differences. The jewelry is meant to set a mood or imply a landscape. My goal is to show a harmony between what nature has created and the simple designs that enhance the stones."

"As a creative mind, it is wonderful to have more than one creative outlet to keep the art work freshing and interesting. Painting does just that, whether depicting a bold and relaxing landscape or an organic abstract. The ongoing theme of nature shows through all of my pieces. Nature is the most fascinating, powerful force with the ability to creative great serenity. I strive to show a glimpse of nature's power in my artwork."

Art Quilts by Jane Defoe

After 20 years as a graphic artist, I moved to Sedona in 1976 and began painting and quilting. The last 25 years I've focused on fabric using bold colors and textures. I prefer the dimensional feel of fabric. Curved and intricate piecing are done to create organic shapes found in nature. After cutting fabric into many shapes, I sew and restructure them to make my original design. My techniques may include hand or machine quilting, applique, beadwork, hand painted or dyed cloth, or metallic threads. When I portray wild animals or flora, I am attracted to larger than life images. I want the viewer to concentrate on nature's extraordinary diversity. Other subjects include the radiant and powerful landscapes of Arizona.
