![]() September 7th - Nature of the West First Friday Reception at Mountain Trails Gallery![]() Bronze sculpture of spirited horses, Kodiak and grizzly bears, bugling elk, birds in flight, and descending mountain lions all teem with action and are brought to life by artists Robert Deurloo, Jim Gilmore, Susan Kliewer, Dustin Payne, Vic Payne, Stefan Savides, Sandy Scott, and Michael Trcic. Powerful alabaster and limestone sculpture of horses by Oreland C. Joe add to the dynamic display. Landscape paintings full of wildlife action, animal and bird portraits, as well as animals naturally doing what they do enliven the canvases by oil painters Edward Aldrich, Ty Barhaug, Bonnie Conrad, Joe Garcia, Adele Earnshaw, George Molnar, Marcia Molnar, J. W. Segler, and Brigitte Woosley. All these artists are dedicated explorers and adventurers who have a passion for bringing nature to the viewer, all the while telling a story and bringing something personal to the viewer about their encounters with these endearing inhabitants of the West. Exhibition through September 28, 2012. Come celebrate nature and wildlife art with other art lovers. Enjoy libations and lively conversation for the opening reception on First Friday, September 7, from 5-8 pm: Suite A-201 upstairs by the creek and Suite B-122 downstairs across from the restaurant Rene at Tlaquepaque.
