What do the Dalai Lama and Richard Gere have in common? Both advocates for human rights in Tibet, and both endorse Sedona author Naomi C. Rose’s latest book, Tibetan Tales from the Top of the World. Rose has had direct dialog with His Holiness, The Dali Lama, which has had an inspirational influence on her writings.

The Andrea Smith Gallery welcomes Naomi C. Rose to Tlaquepaque during First Friday in April. We are delighted to have Naomi Rose signing her new book, Tibetan Tales from the Top of the World which is endorsed by the Dalai Lama, and includes a preface by Richard Gere, an advocate for human rights in Tibet. Told in both English and Tibetan, the book includes an introduction about Tibet, a glossary of Tibetan terms, and a section about Tibetan wildlife.

The second collection from award-winning author Naomi C. Rose, Tibetan Tales from the Top of the World combines poetic storytelling and radiant illustrations to provide an enchanting glimpse into Tibetan culture.

As in her critically-acclaimed Tibetan Tales for Little Buddhas, Rose's latest book offers three delightful tales that offer simple wisdom and exemplify how to live in peace and kindness. A young prince, a wise monkey, and a magical guardian are some of the colorful characters that will delight readers young and old.

Naomi will be at the Andrea Smith Gallery for a book signing on Friday evening, April 2nd, from 5:00-8:00, and also Saturday afternoon from 12:00-3:00, for story-time, dressed in traditional Tibetan clothing, and signing books.
