If you have ever dreamed of having an intimate traditional wedding but wanted something romantic and truly memorable, then consider the non-denominational Chapel at Tlaquepaque. The Chapel holds a very special place in the Tlaquepaque Village. It was built with love over 30 years ago. Stained glass windows and hand-carved leather pews, a stunning mural over the altar, and white-washed adobe walls evoke what it must have been like to be married in a quaint Mexican village long ago. The Chapel seats 35 people comfortably in wooden pews; extra chairs can be set up in the back area for a maximum seating capacity of 45. At the completion of your wedding ceremony we will ring the bells in the Tlaquepaque bell tower in celebration and commemoration of your special day. Click here for more images of The Chapel Tlaquepaque is happy to offer our Bridal Changing Room and accompanying sitting area for you and your bridal party. It's a cozy, private space complete with a full-length mirror, large bathroom, wet bar and refrigerator (we'll be happy to stock it with your favorite beverages for a fee). The bridal changing room offers all the amenities a bride and her bridal party will need to feel comfortable and relaxed. Suggested occupancy should not exceed four persons. The room is reserved in hour increments for $50.00 each hour.
Each reservation is 90 minutes. The wedding party is allowed one hour for the ceremony and an additional 30 minutes for set up or guest arrival. Tlaquepaque will provide a custodian for the entire 90 minutes to attend the gated doorway and ensure your privacy. He or she will also see to it that the wedding peal from the bell tower begins right at the conclusion of the ceremony. It is the responsibility of the booking party to have all personal items (i.e. candles, floral arrangements, music boxes, decorations of any sort) removed from the Chapel at the end of the 90 minutes. Reservations need to be made in advance and paid in full in order to hold and guarantee any reservation. The fees are as follows:
Tlaquepaque requires an additional refundable security deposit of $300.00 for a valid reservation. Upon completion of the service, the security deposit will be refunded and mailed back within 48 hours. It is the responsibility of the wedding party to make certain that Tlaquepaque has an accurate return address for the security deposit. We accept Visa/MC. All fees must be received in full prior to the wedding and all wedding reservations will be confirmed in writing upon receipt of the above mentioned fees. In case of a cancellation, there will be a $100.00 fee. The Bridal Suite is non-refundable. Cancellation must be received no later than one week prior to the scheduled event. Any cancellation received within the seven days prior to the event will be refunded the $300.00 security deposit only. Please note that Tlaquepaque does not provide ministers, music, flowers or candles. If needed there is a referral list for local ministers, musicians and photographers. All candles must be dripless and rice throwing is not permitted. If these guidelines are not respected, Tlaquepaque reserves the right to deduct cleaning fees from the security deposit. Tlaquepaque accepts money orders, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard. There will be a $3.00 processing fee with credit card purchase. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Tlaquepaque and mailed to: P.O. Box 1868, Sedona, Arizona 86339.
